In the summer of 2017, my twin sister and I embarked on an unforgettable adventure to Greece, embracing the thrill of spontaneous decisions. Our journey kicked off in Athens, where we marvelled at the ancient ruins of the Acropolis and meandered through the charming streets of Plaka. The vibrant culture and rich history of the city captivated us from the start.

From Athens, we hopped over to the stunning islands of Mykonos and Santorini. In Mykonos, we soaked up the lively nightlife, explored the picturesque alleyways, and relaxed on gorgeous beaches with crystal-clear waters. Santorini, with its iconic whitewashed buildings and breathtaking sunsets, was a standout highlight. We strolled along the caldera, visited quaint villages like Oia, and indulged in delicious Greek cuisine.

Throughout our travels, we revelled in the freedom of going with the flow and making spontaneous decisions that led us to hidden gems and unexpected adventures. Whether it was catching a ferry to a lesser-known island or discovering a secluded beach, each day brought delightful surprises.

Greece was not only an incredible destination but also a fantastic opportunity for my photography work. The stunning landscapes, vibrant colours, and unique charm of each location provided endless opportunities to capture beautiful moments. From the golden hues of the sunsets to the azure waters and intricate details of ancient architecture, every scene was a picture waiting to be taken.

This trip wasn’t just a holiday; it was a celebration of our bond as sisters. We made memories that will last a lifetime, from laughing together on sun-drenched beaches to sharing quiet moments overlooking the stunning vistas. Greece’s beauty and charm left a lasting impression on our hearts, making the summer of 2017 an experience we will always treasure.
